My journey in Aviation

Flying has become my greatest passion and probably the most important part of my life. Since I was a little kid, I always loved the sky and being up high. As a teenager, my interest in the sky began to grow into an interest in aviation specifically. This interest grew into an all-out passion for all things flying, aviation, and planes related. That was when, at 13 years old, I found Civil Air Patrol. CAP is an Air Force auxiliary that offers a cadet program for ages 12–18 and focuses on leadership, aerospace, fitness, and character. CAP also offers extensive community service opportunities and personal/professional training, helping kids to get their Private Pilot’s License. I have been a cadet in CAP for over 4 years and it has only escalated my passion for flying and even sparked an interest in military service. With CAP, I have gotten expert flight training and have logged over 26 hours in a Cessna 172, and after a lot of work and dedication I am well on my way to getting my ultimate goal—Private Pilot’s License.

My Plane

It's not actually mine, but a girl can dream, right?  Also pictured are two of my my amazing flight instructors (Ms. Jeanie and Mr. Phil).  The video below is of one of my so-so landings :)
